How to play

Put the other king in checkmate. You cannot move into check. Select your king, then move two squares to castle when allowed. En passant is supported. When a pawn reaches the end, choose its new piece.

Stalemate, insufficient material, threefold repetition, and the 50-move rule end the game in a draw automatically. Both friends must accept a rematch; colors swap each game. There is no clock.

Word codes are easy to guess, not passwords. Share only with your friend. PeerJS Cloud connects your browsers; some school, work, and mobile networks block direct connections. Leaving or refreshing ends the room. Games are not saved.
